After much deliberation, Kerry Mountain
Rescue Team has decided to discontinue the Trasna na dTonnta
event.
There are various reasons for this decision including
insurance costs, time pressures on individual Team members and
several other factors.
We would like to take this opportunity to say a
sincere and heartfelt Thank You to all those who have supported
the event in any way since it was first held in 1998. It has
been invaluable to the Team in enabling us to purchase vehicles
and equipment which have proved essential during countless callout
operations.
We are of course still open to acts of generosity in the future.

It is likely that KMRT will decide upon a different
type of fundraising event going into the future. For any hardcore
swimmers out there, it is also possible that an event similar
to TnaT may be taken on by another charitable organisation.
